can you explain to me about bandwidth. the reason why i am asking is because when i plan to launch my site, i would like to know how much gb/transfer per month will i need so my site wont be unreachable due to excessive bandwidth. also give me an example as well like what i can get with lets say 5gb of transfer per month k.

well lets say if you had 5gig.
lets also say that each page on your site is 40kb (inc images) each person views 10 pages on your site, so thats 400kb per person, you get me so far??? so if each person consumes an average of 400Kb per person then you can have 12500 unique visitors per month which leaves you about 415 unique hits per day. so how many people are you expecting to your site each day? if its under 400 your ok, but if its over 400, you shoudl look at upgrading your plan. |

well is there any scripts that can like test how much bandwidth you are currently using to kinda get an idea on how to manage bandwidth.
i found a hosting company that allows 20 gb/transfer per month.![]() |

Most hosts won't cut your site if you exceed your quota. You'll just be charged for any overage. Some won't charge if it's an insignificant amount of overuse.
Your best bet is to find out the policies of your host... Most will tell you that for small amounts, they won't bother charging you.
