Problem with admin account logon for server with COM plus component
Hi,
In one of our projects (VB6 with SQL Server), we have server side COM plus components on the same server as the database. The OS of the server is Windows 2003 the database is SQL Server 2000. The server OS was recently upgraded to 2003 from Windows 2000. When it was Windows 2000, when we had to access the exe of the application, we had to have the administrator log on to the database server and he could 'lock' the system and we could still access the application. But after it was migrated to Windows 2003 recently, the administrator is not able to 'lock' the server machine and it is to be kept 'unlocked', as long as the users wish to access the application from the client machines. This is posing security concerns for us. It would be greatly helpful if we could get a way, where the administrator logs on to the server where COM plus components are there but could 'lock' the machine. Thanks in advance ourspt |
