Search engine problem

Can somebody tell me why these to pages don't get listed at search engines like Google, Alltheweb, Yahoo and AltaVista for example?

It's some pages belonging to a friend and I have been asked to look into it. They have both been submitted to the search enginges several months ago, after two or three months I submitted them myself without any success.

The content is in Norwegian.

URL's:
http://www.mindworks.no
http://www.edgecomputers.no

I quickly took a look at the first site and immediately I see there is not much relevant text on the page.

The metatage keyworks look like this:
<meta name="keywords" content="mindworks, it, pc, server, salg, pc-salg, epost, internett, skrivere, drammen, feilsøking, nettverk, pc, server, pc-salg, server, support, edge computer, rådgivning, mindwork, as">

Not very informative, not a good description in the metatags... somebody didn't put any time into this.

Well, that's true that it isn't much relevant text on the page,- but..

If I make Google just search for Norwegian pages it should be found?

The search engines finds pure Flash-pages, and as far as I know they are found only based on the Meta-tags since the search engines can't search Flash-files. So why can't this page be found?

It must be something else than just little relevant text? If I Google for Mindworks restricted to only Norwegian pages there are only 12 hits.

Highly untrue... this was true a while back, but flash is searchable by the bigger search engines such as google.

>If I make Google just search for Norwegian pages it should be found?

Not really. There may be elements in your page that are giving you negative page rank. My company helped optimize a website where they were the only real estate brokerage in a certain town and they were not in the top of the searches. A few more bad decisions and they might have not been in there at all.

It could also be that you need to give it more time. All sites are not guaranteed to get in at all... regardless of the category.

If I were you I'd put more work into getting into http://www.dmoz.org/, then that could help your pagerank in the coming months on google and other engines.
