autoutlook.com

Well, what do you guys think of the website I am working on?

http://www.autoutlook.com/v1/

Give me a lot of suggestions, and of course, I want to improve the navigation a bit, help me spice it up.

By the way, it's not done yet, I'm still working on the PHP stuff, just started learning it.

Nice site ignition.

The only thing I could think you should change in the menu is the color of the links. Right now the links and text are the same color. Maybe adding some color might spice it up some.

Overall, it's a great design. I really like the header image.

That is clean and simple,
I also would suggest adding some color to the nav.

I would try a few different ones, but these I would try first

Blue that's in the lock image #086AF1
Red that's on the logo #BD4520
Try even the light grey borders #707070

Personally I wouldn't choose any color that wasn't in the site.

I have to agree with everyone here... The layout is very nice and clean.

I would suggest using the orange/red color you have in the logo for your link mouse-overs.

One thing I like and dislike at the same time is the blurred header image. While it looks great, I find myself getting a headache while looking at it... I keep asking myself whether it's my eyes or whether it's supposed to be that way! You may want to try putting the actual "Autoutlook" name horizontally across the bottom of the blue header, so as to add somewhat of a focal point on that image.

I purposely made the image a bit blurred out because it would make it look like the car is actually moving; only on some pictures.

What you should try to do then is only have the background of that image blurred, and have the car itself in focus... It will give you a true effect that the car is in motion...

True, but it would be way too much work.

Hehehe... But it would be an accomplishment... And it would be satisfying to know that you've done it!

It's actually a lot easier than you think... Use the magic-wand tool to select the car... and then blur the surrounding background...

You can also do it another way by using multiple layers...
