I hate to be blunt, but - have you ever thought about what your page looks like with images off (i.e. how it looks to a search engine, or someone using a screen reader). It's pretty much useless.

Thanks for your comment Stumpy, especially regarding the look with images turned off. I agree there could be some additional ALT tags and I have added them to the home page as well as the other pages within the site.

Perhaps it's too clean That is, maybe I need to add something more of intro text to the home page to ensure visitors are enticed to click through to the various internal pages? Your thoughts?

Thanks again!
Mark

I suggest you look into CSS. Most of what you've done can be acheived using mostly CSS (and no tables!) and waaay less images. Also, building a standards based site will allow your site to be viewed on other devices, like handhelds. CSS is the future.

Just on the redirecting search engines thing. This practice is heavily frowned upon, and will eventually get you blacklisted by most search engines.

I would like to learn more about the CSS development. I use CSS extensively, but also rely use tables in most of my projects.

As for the search engines, I am not redirecting or anything like that, just writing out more content on the page when the visitor is a search engine.

The visual layout of the page is very nice... crisp and clean and simple... I like that...

What Stumpy's hinting at is the point that search engine's index pages based on text it finds on your page... the page rank is based on how many times certain words appear on your page... since your page has very little text on the page, you may not get good ranking on the page...

If you're interested in learning more, check out this site http://www.seochat.com/ There's some great articles on Search Engine Optimization... (also a part of the Devshed network )
