My Portfolio/Design site

what do you guys think of my site offering my services, comment on the content too because it is the first time I wrote my own portfolio/design specs and I dont think I did an awesome job. The design if it does will not change dramatically because I want the people to see it for the information, not the design.

On the contrary Vince, since this is your portfolio, people wanna see your skillz. So this page should showcase them.

your content is fine but the design just doesn't pull me in. If i was looking for someone to design my site I wouldn't hire you because your site is just not snazzy. It lacks pizas. You want a more flashy (I don't mean Flash based) looking site to show off what you know. Create a fram on the left instead of using the links on top. Use more then that blue background and black xolor text. Maybe use some overlines and/or underlines from CSS on the links.

Also I would take your age off the site. You might lose a potential customer cause of the young age or attract a customer who really really likes underaged people

Ok, thanks for your advice, Ill make a "ph@t design"

I am moving host in a couple of days because nicat23 is kindly offering some server space for my humble personal homepage, it will include a blog too I will design it a bit more because I was really lazy with my old design, I just wanted to get it on the net

You wanted an opion, and ill give it

firstly times new roman, etc fonts are best for print, not for screens, fonts such as tahoma, arial, verdana, etc are better for reading off a monitor

the bg colour is too dark, if you want a professional looking site, have the content text on white, or off-white (with a shade of blue, green, etc to compliment your web design)

You need some sort of graphics layout on your site, this after all your portfolio site, it should make your visitors go wow! Right now, all it tells me is that you can type html tags, and create content.

try looking at other sites for ideas, study other sites and how/why they do things they way they do.
