New site for RC Model Club

I would like to know what you think of this page,
modelflug.net.

Cheers,

Selleri,

I'm quite impressed at the layout of the site... It's very clean and well layed out!

I would, however, work on the logo and site title. They look very choppy, and not as sharp/clear as the rest of the site.

Keep it up! The site looks great!

Oh... and I love the colour!

Thanks for the kind words Frankie.

I'll dig into the site title shortly.
The problem with the logo is that it's a scan of the club
emblem that is sewn into clothes and they don't have
the orginal computer drawings.

And I've got no experience with vector based drawing programs.
But I'll try to tweak it a little.

You can see the picture I got at,
http://www.simnet.is/fms/smamerki.gif .

Thanks again

Yeah,

I can understand that... But what if you tried sharpening the images? If you're using Photoshop, you can make use of the filters to improve the image.

But I'll have to finish this BlackJack in J2ME first,
the school is always taking me away from the other stuff I like

Oh, no way!! You're developing in J2ME? I picked up a book on it, and want to start!

I'd love to see the code you're using for the blackjack... If you can, send it my way!

Btw, how do you like J2ME? Do you develop using MIDP or CDLC?

Hehe, small world.

We are using the MIDP here with Wireless Toolkit 2.0 Beta 2, to be exact

Well I've only been studying it for a few days now but I like what I've seen, just takes a little time to get used to the small API.

I'll send you the code after it's ready.

hey Selleri,

I really like the site, nice clean design and nice use of colours. I am not usually a massive fan of the patterned backgrounds, but this works really well!

Like Frankie said about the logo, you could do with making it a bit sharper..... maybe having someone create a vector image out of the badge, then you can resize it any time while maintaining the quality...

I have had a logo designed by a guy called "swouxhall" over at www.rentacoder.com ..... its fast good quality work there!

Hope the site goes well for you!!

Yeah... that's something I like and dislike at the same time about the MIDP... There aren't too many classes, but at the same time you feel limited! I guess it just means you need to be a little more creative!

Sure thing,.. I'd love to have a play with it!

I've been getting a quite few hits from this post so I just wanted to add that the page that you see now is a new one and not the one discussed earlier in this post.
