I'm a little confused... the main page is asking me to upload an image, yet I still don't know what the site does.
Perhaps a little explanation first would help. Do I need to sign up? Do I need to pay? What are the benefits of uploading images? What types of images are you looking for? (I found the answers to some of my above question in the image in the header... but disabled users with screen readers won't be able to view that) Also note, your page doesn't validate as HTML 4 Transitional. |

I didn't even realize I don't have a description of the site on the homepage yet. I'll see what I can do to fit it in. What is HTML 4 transitional?

I assume you used a WYSIWYG editor to create the page then?
A common practice in web development now a days is to validate your page. This means you basically make sure your HTML code is all correct. The first line of your page has a DOCTYPE declaration of HTML4 Transitional, which means your page is expected to comply with the rules of HTML 4... when I ran your page through W3C's validator, it didn't work. (Refer to link in my original response). Some attributes aren't technically a part of HTML4, you're missing some that are required, and so on. Having a page that doesn't validate isn't necessarily going to affect the way your page is visually presented on the screen, however it will help parsers, some search engines, and some screen reading software, interpret what is on your page. I do think a description would be helpful. It's an interesting service you're offering... How will you afford to host all these files? |
