Why doesn't dev articles have anything on assembly? I think it would be an interesting addition.

I mean the regular 32-bit Windows Assembly Language.

There are so few people who program in Assembly anymore that it's not even funny... I program in it because I write software for security measures for smart cards for lan technology.. but most of it depends on the type of assembly that you're wanting to do.. Assembly for software, there are plenty of good books out there that you can read on it.. it's too difficult for some to understand, and it is, in reality, a lower level language, but it takes an upper level knowledge of it to be able to do anything in it... It took me 4 months of reading before I could even write a simple script to recognize login/logout
