Wow... That's amazing!!! 9 years old?! Damn... hehehe.
What languages to you code in? Do you specialize in Web development, or more desktop/application development? Welcome to the forums... Enjoy your stay. If you have any problems, don't hesitate to ask!

i can code in visual anything but i don't do that much more.... i do specialize in web development... lets just say PHP has stole my heart,
, i do a lot database works b/c i love making an infrastructure for a web app of any kind. its a hobby. I am still learning though, i just love computers. I run a dual boot linux and xp and lets just say i'm a penguin-fan no doubt about it. I guess it is a little weird for a person my age but who cares... |

It's not weird at all... You'd be surprised at how many younger people are already developing applications/websites... Like I said, if I could go back, I would have started much sooner! Hehehe... A penguin fan! I'm assuming you don't mean the Pittsburgh Penguins! How long have you been tinkering with Linux? I've been debating whether or not I should setup a Linux box or if I should just go and setup a Windows 2000 box... The learning curve for linux would be much steeper. |

none at all... linux is made for nerds like us. sure it takes as a while to understand the different distributions and graphic kernels... but its worth it... if you are really wanting to try do this:
either load it up completely on a box or dual boot it, its easy either way. download redhat 9.0 (www.redhat.com), or mandrake 9.1 (www.mandrake.com) they all have three iso's and u have to dld and burn, install if u chose redhat, then u r now one of the gnome lovers of the linux world if u chose mandrake u have a choice of gnome or kde (they are both very good) that should get u started... ask me if u have problems or whatever. |

Thanks for the advice... I may give it a try in the next coming months... Definately something worth looking into.
I have RH 8 ready for installation, but I guess I should go ahead and download 9... |
