Just found this website and it's fantastic. I don't do development by 'trade', but considering I've just been made redundant I may just start on this bandwagon! My passion till now has been tinkering in DB development, and I'm now really interested in getting into publishing.

Welcome to the forums, you will find that we have alot of professional developers, as well as hobists/beginners at our web site, which is great, because everyone has a different view on programming processes, etc.

Where abouts are you located, and what are your other interests.

I'm sitting over in the UK, in a small'ish town called Hertford, about 15 miles north of London. My main interests are fast and exotic cars and I have a passion for computer evolution. By trade I'm a business analyst, so I'm always looking out for the next best s/w or h/w mix. This is how I got into DB dev. Most of the stuff on the market doesn't give enough in way of diversity, so I tended to develop my own (or at least PM a development).

I've read the story on you....sounds like a dream come true for you boys, huh?! Loads of hard work, I'm sure, but at least from my seat it seems to be paying off.
