Hi from an Aussie

hello to you all

I never saw this part when I joined up, so a little belated hello folks.

I am Kelley and a novice with all of this, though I have posted a couple of questions, thankyou Ben you kept the inspitation going.

I have used frontpage a lot then switched to dreamweaver, the basics of these I teach others on the net. usually through chats.

Due to an accident I no longer work so everything I now do is self taught books and the forums, A very dear friend provides me with free web space in canada where I can doodle to my hearts content.

I want to be proficient with php, mysql and apache but I admit I do find it hard and even after spending hundreds of dollars on books (lol) I seem to miss the stuff I need to know. most seem to start in the middle or go from "hello world" to wow way over my head.

But hello to you all, hope you can tolerate a female learner.

If you didnt actually know, the majority of ppl that run this site are australian. Infact Mitchell, John (content dude) and myself are all in sydney. We have too offices, one in balmain, and one in silverwater.

I am what I would term a wannabee programmer, self taught though I have done quite a number of websites which seem to have been well recieved. but the new combination of php, apache and mysql really does confuse me, but I am not one to give up.

No worries Kelley.. and fyi, in my book, if you program at all, no matter what kind, you're a full fledged programmer Just keep with it and you can be as big as you want to be..
