How do I use Ranish Partition Manager in my laptop

Hello there,

First of all, I would like to begin by saying Merry Christmas to all of you and Happy New Year (in advance).

I am having a trouble trying to partition my hard drive disk in my laptop (Acer TM290 with Windows XP professional). Thing is, I have never partitioned my hard drive disk before. I have previously posted up a message asking people regarding this issue before, and I had some good feedbacks. One person kindly suggested me to download Ranish Partition Manger version 2.4.2. I downloaded it, unzipped the file and read the instruction and tried to use the partition manager.
As soon as I type in the command prompt 'part240.exe', I get a GUI prompting me to insert floppy disk to A drive I just have no clue what to do, because I don't even have a floppy drive in my laptop. Does anyone know how to get around this problem? I have been stressed over this issue for almost a week now. Thank you in advance.

Young

Hi,
I hope you found an answer already.
I downloaded "ultimate boot cd" (free), burned it to a cd. It contains Ranish PM. I used that on my acer laptop without a floppy.
I could not dual boot winme for a backup system (I suspect bill gates ´hand here) and now i am curious if i can get a linix os (ubuntu) to behave itself.
