hey noah,

welcome to our forums. I hope you can learn alot from the authors and moderators at devarticles.com. Im sure if you keep reading about web design/programming, you can become a professional.

Just remember every one is a noob at some stage, apart from myself, who was born with the knowledge of coding, passed down from generation, to generation.

Hello noah.

Welcome to our forums. What are you more interested in, Designing or Developing? Or are you an all rounder?

I'm an all rounder...I like the design phase but I also have lots of ideas, just not the know how.

As long as the ideas keep flowing then you'll always be on your toes... Too many ideas is a wonderful thing, not enough ideas means you're looking for work because the person with more ideas than you will be likely to beat ya out.

At least thats my experience

I have noticed recently alot of new members who were designs and headed down the programming path.

I myself took this path.

Well.. if you think about it, programming is esseintially design in one of it's most simple states.. or complex ones, depends on how you look at it really

Well the way I look at it that in order to become a very good website designer you need to know how to program on the back end as well. If you know the ins and outs of webdesign, networking, programming, etc you can become very effective and be able to do every aspect of the web site and maintain the server. That is just my opinion.
