Page 5 - Just sayin' hello

Ehhh... watzup doc? *munch* *munch*

I started off with VBA in Excel and taught myself enough VBA, Excel and Access to move from Accounting to the IT deparment where they put me in charge of a SQL Server. From there I developed (again, self-taught) an ASP site to display the data in the SQL Server. After changing jobs I've been lucky enough to get some classes in .NET which I am using now to develop for the company intranet site.

Forums, MSDN, F1 (help) and the occasional book has been essential and I'm hoping these forums will be a resource for me.

On the other side of the coin, I use Linux at home and am involved in the local computer club's Linux special interest group (sig).

I've used a number of distro's over the years (since ~2002) including Red Hat (8 and 9), Gentoo, Ubuntu, CentOS, openSuse, Edubuntu, Damn Small Linux, TinyMe, Fluxbuntu and who knows what's next.

Outside of that I do Fencing (Epee), table-top role playing games, being a taxi-dirver (taking the kids to this activity or that activity ) and a gofer (go fer this, go fer that).

Fold to Cure

Just wanted to say hello as it is said in the title. I'm new here and it's a pleasure to start with "HELLO" message!!!

I am going to assume this is the introduction thread. I come from devshed and so hello everyone. (I don't have this username on there). I also have a questioin for a moderator. Can a moderator change my username to Ingolme instead of ingolme? I did a mistake in registration ;(

Also I have been folding for a couple days now, my configuration settings are:

username: justsomeguy

team number: 12912 (developershed networks)

And i dont know how to find my 6 digit id. I went to folding.extremeclocking.com and I couldnt find my username on there. I have only been folding for like 3 days now btw.

Thanks for stopping by. Moderators can't change your name, but if you submit a support ticket an admin can do that for you.

Yea right. I have submitted 3 support tickets in the past and I have yet to recieve a response to either one of them. I don't think anyone even looks at them. Either they are major slow or their system is flawed.

Got any ideas about the folding thing?

There are 2 other justsomeguy folders, but none for DevShed (12912) that has turned in a completed work unit yet.

What client are you using and on what PC, so we can work out how long it should be and what client is best?

I meant to ask which folding client are you using and what sort of CPU/GPU is it running on?

It still has not appeared as a completed WU. You could download Fahmon http://fahmon.net/download.html if you wanted to be able to see the WU progress and when it should complete. This is a good free utility to let you monitor any clients that are running.
