I know this is an old thread, but posting to say hello in an exisiting one seemed correct.
Anyway, Hey all! I'm just migrating through all the Dev forums, and now I've landed here to poke around and learn, and maybe provide some insight. Long time user of DevH, and poked around DevS for a little while now. Background is more towards the hardware side of the house, and overall network managment, but who knows...this old dog has some life left in him yet. So, I'm off to peruse through the different forums... peace ½îñ§ÅÑΣ

While saying Hello to all, I would also like to know what's unique about this forum. Please don't take any offence, but it seems same like DevShed to me and even the users are same and one of them is doing the same thing here as well... i.e. trolling.

I'm a Devarticles-only member.
Many of the topics covered in the forums are similar, I believe the original idea was to target Devarticles towards web development, and Devshed towards the rest. Truth is, dividing the two programming worlds is somewhat difficulat nowadays. Ideally, I believe all the Devshed communities should combine efforts into one centralized forum. It is my understanding that the current software limits this. Also reduces the devshed web strategy in regards to search engine presence.
