Lovely Forum

Hello,

I've had a long interest in programming and interface design, from working on shell interfaces using things like astonshell to building a few websites with dhtml navigation and such like, but never had the time to really play much with it. I teach myself things from reading in forums and trying out the code with different variables, and it's a lot of fun.

I'm working on a website right now, which is the reason for me coming here. The website I want to build is for the community to help get students into work they will enjoy and make a contribution to increasing the standards of living and interaction between younger members and businesses in my local area.

I hope to learn a lot here and eventually provide something back to the members of this forum.

Welcome aboard! UI design is definitely a field that has lost its "limelight" so to speak. I do feel, however, that it's something that will play a major role in the whole "usability" debate, and will regain its momentum once again...

As for the website, it sounds like a great idea. I know how tough it can be to start a new business, so I know something like this would definitely help those in your area.
