Simple... don't use MSN messenger..
... just playing ![]() Or you could attempt to build your own client in PHP, or something similar, not sure as to what would be involved in that however.. try googling it and seeing about java clients for msn, etc [Note, I don't condone abusing company policy and sneaking around proxy settings, and I won't be held responsible if any reprecussions come from you disobeying company policy] |

Here's a couple options, although probably not what you're looking for =)
If you decide to code your own, some of these articles might help you understand the protocol. http://kiki.netilus.org/objet/msnp7.html http://www.venkydude.com/articles/msn.htm Or you could review the code of the open-source project Gaim http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ I figure chances are your corporate firewall is blocking known ports and hosts... in which case, it doesn't matter which program you use, msn just won't work. I know the company I used to work for disabled access to hotmail, msn, icq, and who knows what else... Best of luck though, and if you figure something out, post it here... [be sure to keep it within the internet access guidelines set forth by your management team though ] |
