PDA's Anyone?

I'm wondering if anyone here uses a PDA (Palm or PocketPC)? If so, what are your main uses for them?

I'm curious to see if any of us "techies" are also gadget geeks!! LOL!

I use mine mainly as Calendar, Adress book and News (cause I can't stand watching the news on TV or lisening to it on the radio).

At one point I had two... my palm 505, which I use for a calendar, remote control <Because I'm lazy> lol.. contact list, and to play games on it

The other one I had was a handspring visor with a gps module to it, I got rid of it when I got my palm..

Hehehe... Gotta love gaming on a handheld! I used to have TextTwist and Collapse when I had my Visor Prism and they were addictive... Even had several classmates addicted!

I just recently purchased an iPAQ 1910, and it is fantastic! The regular PIM functions are great, but the multimedia features are incredible... I've downloaded Age of Empires for it, and it's pretty cool!!

palms are a great "idea" but I always find them to be really dull.... I bought a Psion a while ago thinking it would revolutionise my life.... it was great for about 2 weeks.... then I got bored of putting in things like "going for beer with mates" .... "meeting missus at 7" etc etc....

the games are good fun tho!! lol!!

Yea, definately gotta love the games. I still enjoyed my time in school where I put games on my TI-85 <Graphing calculator> so it would look like I was sitting there working on homework while I played drug wars or tetris.. hehe

Hehhee... I know what you mean! It can be "shameful" at times... But I find it useful for school as well as meeting other deadlines.

Which Psion did you have... the Revo?

Ahhh... Another PocketPC user! I recently changed from a Palm OS device to the new iPAQ 1910, and am absolutely loving it... The Today screen is one of the most invaluable features!

Any must-have apps you can recommend?

Yeah, the PC version is great! Funny how some of the most simple games never lose their touch!

I was thinking about getting one of those Sony Clie's.. or a toshiba.. Not sure though, I really don't have the cash to be spending on another PDA at this time, and don't really have the need either..
