starting to study

i finished my degree in Bsc internet computing last year. well i covered basics of everything and now i want to specialise in one area.

I was thinking of Oracle + java.

and then another friend suggested dotNET.

besides this i also want to increase my web developement skills so doing php + asp + cfm.

i would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hi Moha,
Well if i had the choice of Oracle+Java or .NET, then I would have to take .NET, because it's just so huge! You can program in your choice of language, it has great IDE's, database support and web services, which are my favorite part of .NET.

Oracle+Java are great and I know that the "write once, run anywhere" token sounds good, but when it comes down to it, Java just can't keep up with .NET and there are many, many independantly generated analysis's to prove it.
