I am sure that you meant the downloading the Visual Basic runtime. Right? If yes, find it here:

However, there is no free legal download of Visual Basic IDE

Vince, please don't discuss the trading of illegal software on the forums..djmxya, that goes for you too.. if you are looking for the visual basic runtime libraries, then I would suggest you go to google and search for them, they are available for free download.. otherwise, if you are looking for a copy of visual basic.net, or any other visual basic application, you can go to your local college/university and see if they offer student lisences for discounted prices..

I wasn't discussing it, I was just saying that if he wanted to then he could have gone down that path...im sure we all have before and file sharing programs are not illegal in my eyes because in the end you have to buy the product to have people download it so...

They are illegal.. period.. by you downloading the software and not purchasing it you are breaking copyright law and are contributing to software piracy. Suggesting someone do that in my opinion is just as bad as giving them a link to download a copy of it.
