Hi guys,
Sorry about the delay in reply. I've just been sorting some stuff out. This topic is a sticky one, but let me give you an overview:
- DevArticles is now owned by Developer Shed Inc. Previously, it was owned by me and my company, Instanse Pty. Ltd.
- I originally worked for SiteCubed, where I came up with the company name, developed SiteWorks, MailWorks and the first version of EditWorks. I made the mistake of signing an employment contract, and wasn't happy with the conditions there (i.e. I did all of the work, and only got 50% of the profit), hence I decided to leave.
- Upon leaving, the friendly staff at SiteCubed decided that they'd like to sue me to try and take my own products from me. A long story cut short, we went to court, I got what I want, and moved on.
- EditWorks became DevEdit, which is completly owned by me and my business parnter (Interspire Pty. Ltd.). Interspire now domainates the web script market in terms of content management products and tools.
- Instanse is still my company, however I trade under Interspire, which is the Internet software arm of our company.
- Now that Jon from DevShed is taking care of DevArticles, I will be focusing my efforts on building the Interspire brand, product range and product awareness. I also have a project on the side which is in the same format as DevAritlces (i.e. an online magazine), but different genre. I'll keep it under wraps for now
So yeah, that's it. When you think of Instanse, think of me. When you think of Interspire, think of me. When you think of SiteCubed, well.... I'll leave you to determine what you think about, but you now know the story. I guess it all comes back to morals doesn't it...
