Talking what u gettin for Xmas?!!!!

hey'all!

Just wondering what everyone has asked Father Christmas (or Santa..) to bring them for their presents?

I have been very (VERY) sad this year and asked for some book tokens (I need some programming books!!!) .... and a new 3 wood (golf club)....... so hopefully the fat man in red will bring me what I so badly need.....

I asked for a new car... but my family pointed out that it simply wouldnt fit under the tree..... nor down the chimney.....

... also....... I have always wondered........ I thought that santa liked a mince pie and sherry left beside the fire place.... but my mum insisted that he preferred a 4 pack of beer and a bag of crisps........

........ oh well.... what ever he needs...!!!

Havard,

I know what you mean... I've got a big family (35+) and we used to get together and have an incredible time (music, games, lots of singing - oddly enough most of the songs weren't christmas related! . But now that most of us are older, I see what you mean!

As for Santa, the one thing I really was is the new Fuji FinePix F601 digital camera!! I've been looking at a few of them, and for some reason this keeps grabbing my eye.. I love the vertical form-factor!

I'd also love to get some programming books... One I definately want is a book on J2ME... I've been playing around with some code these last few days, and it's pretty exciting!

1 week away!!! In the words of Ben: "Woooot!"

Definitaly books on Java Networking. Also, a book on building commerical applications with PHP. Even though I am very well versed with PHP there's never a time when you know it all

Oh and some damn rechargable batteries for my digital camera. Eat eats batteries for breakfast.

I know I will be getting Age of Mythology and a subscription to Bass Player magazine for Christmas. Other than that I hope to get a few DVD's and some programming books. Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Lots of good times with friends and family. Hope all your Christmas' are good too!

Let's not forget - Jesus is the reason for the season. Without Him, we wouldn't be here....

Ok, so what am I getting for CHRISTmas? I know that my dad has already gotten me a 100 pack of jewel cases, and he may be getting me some CD's and Window$ XP. That's all I know about so far.....

Cheers,
Joe of 4Life

Brian, you into Java programming as well? What type of networking are you looking to get into?

How true you are about "not knowing it all"... That's the reason I get up every morning!

Out of curiosity, what digital camera do you use?
