ColdFusion, August 7th?
Is that this year? I think that is our least popular forum.
I guess Java has died down recently too

I think we get a lot of posts during the school year, mostly from people asking us to do their homework.

Summer means less people coding... more vacation, less school, potentially less projects at the job...

Do ask all the questions you can... =)

I'm having to call everyone on my database who is listed on my website to see if they are aware that I am promoting them... and I'm finding it abit tuff. Alot of them are OK and grateful, but a few of them are very suspicious of me, grilling me of all the details of the website and who I am. I'm getting their emails though, and I'll mail shot them soon!

with new SuSe release there should be more

Mayhaps if everybody sets every thread to autoreply to inbox.
Or at least a substantial number of us.
In preferences, that is, get an email notification every time somebody responds on ANY thread.

Of course unless you are totally hooked into your computer and its accompanying lifestyle, that could get a little annoying.
Having a really stable HSI setup would make it work.

But the last time I had the time, electricity, computer, motivation and the stable internet link, thought I had it made and all, I was subscribed to AT&T with their @home network over the cable in Euless Texas just one short week before AT&T dumped the local cable company, the @home internet service and reorganized under chapter 11.

But you know, with the new release of SuSe a lot of people who really get lost in a search engine, like for instance me... will find themselves misdirected to our humble forum seeking answers to using the new improved release. Then we can further mislead them and cause chaos, disorder and the collapse of the World Order As We Know It. ... Bwah- Hah-Hah-Hah-Hah!!!!

I disabled the email notifications... mostly because i'm involved in so many threads... I find checking in first-thing-in-the-morning the best option =)

On the less busy days at work, I check in around lunch and the end of the day as well... but let's not tell the boss.

yeah and if you have dial up

which i probably would, if i had a phone jack in my rented room, getting a hundred extra emails into your inbox every day would take away valuable surfing time.

Things have quieted down a little bit here, though they'll probably pick up twice as bad next week. So if I'm not in too often, sorry...

I think most uni related questions I would have are more appropriate for DevHardware, and I think even there it will be out of the leaque of most people.

Programming is just a hobby and a job. I study Electrical Engineering (Major: Computer Engineering).

Overqualified--- all the garbage is at my home already.

I actually got a job last week-- one day contract.

I have an interview Wed... hopefully that will work out, at least until a better offer comes in.
