Creating textures in Photoshop
Hello,

Here's a question for all Photoshop experts out there. How do I add this «striped» texture to my images?

For example of what I'm after, please click » Here

It's the horizontal banding I'm after. Is there a name for this type of effect? It looks like some kind of filter screen.

Thanks for the tutorial link and the nomenclature - beats the long description plus web link any day.

Between you and Stumpy, I think I'll be creating scanlines like a pro.

Any chance of starting a sub forum within the design forum so that people can post tips and special effects how-to's? just an idea...
