File name extensions
I have just rebuilt my website using shtml extensions so I can use server side extensions. The old website was html.
The index page is now not accessible for old links to the site using index.html (error 404 results) such as from DMOZ I tried to get round this by building a divert page index.html. This doesn't work as it is used as the default page rather than the new index.shtml. Any ideas anyone? If you haven't realised yet I do not understand much about what I am trying to do! Thanks ![]() |

Assuming you have an Apache server, you need to ADD this line to your top level htaccess file
AddType server-parsed .shtml |
