How to increase search rankings?

Any explanation to how this works?
I have been web server monitoring
my site forever, it is a simply amazing site however the rankings are not going up. How do I do this?

Hey Larry, I read your post and I know what you mean!

My website was the bomb! However, it seemed like no one else on the entire internet knew. I told all my friends about it, and tried just about anything I could. But my ranking was still rock bottom.

Rankings go up depending on the number of links that are "pointing" at you. Google's complex algorithms then compute these sites and factor in other confusing stuff to determine your ranking.

I got in touch with a company and them do it for me.

As mentioned above, the number of external links pointing to your website can increase your rankings.

However their is a lot of other ways to increase your sites visibility. Fresh content, error free pages, easy to follow navigation, keywords and good descriptions, to mention just a few.

Have you submited your website to google and other search engines?

For example, when I took over as webmaster for nfpc.org.uk, the site was not listed in google rankings. Now after following some of the SEO guides and about 8weeks later, I have been able to vastly improve the search position. Go along to MikesMarketingtools.com to check your websites position.

After you have followed some of the SEO steps, monitor your website position for 3weeks, and repeat the SEO steps. Remeber to keep your website in good rankings requres continual work.

Have a search in google for 'SEO', Search Engine Optomisation.

Read a lot of blogs about seo and marketing, link building Grow your knowledge about it and keep logical steps.
But first of all make you promotion plan.

article and directory submission will help you. Write good articles related to your source and post them to the article directories. I believe that will help you a lot

I agree artcle writing and distribution is effective, and you could also write and distribute a press release for some more links.

You mean SEO, I think you should make your HTTP site and titles have key words of the webpage, and ask some webpage, especially high PR webpage to add some links for you.
