Hi,
I am facing a problem with IE. For my product I am trying to download the configuration file (Its name is Iad and extension is cfg). But while downloading IE is saving the file as Iad instead of Iad.cfg . For the web I have used ROM Pager Web Server Engine. Please let me know if anybody having solution for this. I want IE to save the file as "Iad.cfg" Thanks in advance ![]() Rgds, Kishore |

Do you have "Hide extensions for known filetypes" checked in your Windows Folder Options?
I figure IE *is* saving the as Iad.cfg, and the file *is* called Iad.cfg, but Windows is trying to be friendly and only display "Iad" Microsoft has decided that file extensions confuse users. You can either turn off the "Hide file extensions" option, or try the MS-DOS command line to navigate to the file and you should see it's full name.
