Hi
I came across an article entitled “New Google Bombing Method Found” It claimed that by adding a false parameter and keywords to a link can improve a websites ranking for certain keywords, I believe the links are placed on other site. Example:- http://www.geocities.com/raw_computers/?raw-computers Please Note: Click on the above example and look at the URL Box to see how the link appears Has anyone tried this method as does it work? all is it another one of those google high ranking hoaxs. Yeah - i guess this would work. Though I find Google's URL keyword feature pointless - it's obviously open to mis-use. Hopefully they'll do away with it soon.

Hi edwinbrains
The article was on a website the URL is, http://www.webpronews.com/insiderreports/searchinsider/wpn-49-20040514NewGoogleBombingMethodFound.html The question is how much influence does this method have on a page ranking? and what about exchanging the ? mark for a # mark, would it still work. Interesting article. I don't know enough about page ranking to answer your question, but I do know that certain google bombing does have a significant effect. Just search "miserable failure" (without quotes) and look at the first result

In theroy it should/could work because google does base some ranking on the page title and so you are really adding another keyword to the page title.
