Problem with DTC(Design Time Control) in MSHTML based Editor.
Hi All,
I am new member of this forum. Please let me know if my problem is not relevant to this forum and kindly suggest the relevant forum. I have been working on web based Content Management system using VB 6.0 as Front End and MS SQL Server as back End. I have following problem regarding Editor controls that we use to generate documents. We have 2 Main Activex Controls which will be installed at client side: 1) User interface - Working with system 2) Editor - Create Documents We have been using Editor control which is based on dhtmled.ocx (triEdit) This control supports DTC (Design Time control). Using this functionality we have created a smart tag sort of control(DTC) which will generate runtime text and that we use and process by replacing the default text with Database value at the time of preview. so We have this control's GUI in Editing mode and in preview mode we just replace the default text with DB values. dhtmled.ocx supports "ActivateDTCs" property which distinguishes this control in Edit/Preview mode. Now our client wants to integrate third party Editor which is based on MSHTML functionality which does not support "ActivateDTCs" property and "sourcecodepreservation" So if you have any idea (or Any workaround) about how to integrate DTC(Design time control - "ActivateDTCs" ) functionality in MSHTML based Editor then please let me know. Any help will be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance. |
