Sync options?

I'm trying to look for automatted tools for syncronizing websites.

The idea is I use wget to mirror my sites locally through FTP.

I then copy the mirror, do changes, test them and then copy them to a staging area. From there I'll have a process to upload changes on a nightly basis.

The question I have, is there any tool to handle the uploading part that you can recommend?

wget just does the mirroring, and I have all that working, but don't have anything for the upload part.

That was the general idea. I use FTP to download the site with wget and then using FTP, re-upload the site.

I hadn't found a utility to do the upload mirroring yet though. I suppose I could use wget on the remote server, although that would require opening up a port on my router to allow it.
