SEO Optimization is very important in design, you want decent Google rankings don't you? Some search engines get mixed up in the "tag-soup" style of HTML code, so you're best to take this into consideration early on in your design.

RSS Feeds are probably easiest to implement if you have a content-management system. Basically, an RSS feed is an XML file written with specific tags, and allows the content of your site to be syndicated by other sites or alternate browsing programs.

Example: http://www.theregister.co.uk/headlines.rss
You might need to view page source, Firefox makes it look pretty

Content is the king of SEO Process. Design is secondary!

idealviews nailed it right on. Content is king, followed by design.

Also RSS wont do you any good unless you have original new content now days. There is no such thing as an internet marketing [i win] button. You need a good representation, and an even better understanding of how things work.
