Hi all,
I am building my Flash/ASP program running on windows xp pro (192.129.151.1). This program will query a postgresql database system running on linux machine (192.129.151.100). The database store the list of my mp3 filenames which their real files were stored in other directory /home/myself/mp3 on the same linux machine. My questions is I would like to stream the chosen mp3 using Flash/ASP but in doing that, how could I ever download the file from linux machine to my XP machine folder (C:\mp3) from within ASP (VBScript) code? Your help are much appreciated. Thank you. |

Well, I suppose you could use Flash to stream your MP3's (google), but why you'd want to do it is beyond me.... that's specifically what NullSoft's ShoutCast is for.

Are you saying that I can use flash to stream file located from other machine, in this case linux machine? If so, which object/function should I use?

You should learn to use Google
Live streaming with Flash: http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/w...threadid=803185 http://builder.com.com/5100-6371-51...=feed&subj=bldr Note that the operating system/file system shouldn't make any difference, as long as the OS you're are doing the streaming from can read from the device. |
