Question Will I enter ... or not?

Hi,

There's a contest running on some luxury site, with a nice watch to win. They ask for a personnal website about their brand. It's a 10 pages work and entries will be closed on december 31st.

Considering that i'll have quite some work this year I dunno wether I'll enter this stuff. How long would it take you to make 10 decent pages??

Here you can see the rules of the contest... Do you think it's worth it or it's too much work and not enough pay?
More over they ask for the site to be online... What free (or cheap) host could be used? (the site would only be online for few months...)

Thanks for your replies!

So they want to have a (almost) free website? In fact they want to have various different free websites to choose from and only 'pay' the one they like the best???

It's a rip-off if you ask me. A 10 page website would cost more than a nice watch I guess. Most of the time on a website will be in the design of the template, once you have this (a couple of days later) the other pages are filled in quite fast.
On the other hand, if any 'intelligence' has to be build in (like form-validation, online shop, databases etc.) this will take extra time!

Scam

The website is interested in "viral marketing" They are asking you to develop and have evidence of a successful SEO stategy. And a ten page site with potential marketing content. Professionals get many thousands$$$$ for this kind of work. I can't blame the site for trying to get away cheap, even at "up to 5000 eu"

Thanks for the replies. I only design in my spare time and I'm not professional ... so I've never sold any sites.
Well I'm not sure they're asking for a professional website. Speaking about the viral content, I was simply thinking of adding a forum but I've never done that before. It can be a pretty simple thing to do, no? With all the free boards around...

I think you'd be better taking on your own project.
This contest seems like a way to sucker an average developer into doing their dirty work.

If you want to make a forum, by all means, do it.
I wouldn't do it in light of this contest though.
