GoDaddy
Greetings from a newbie.
I had a web host courtesy of a friend. My goal was to upload mp3s into their service and they provided me with an html link and I was able to put it in my blog. Well, for some reason, I don't have that web host anymore. I then went to GoDaddy and I am having problems. The one thing I encountered was when I tried to contact by phone, I always got a busy signal- and that was for three days straight. Secondly, when I asked if there was anyway they could provide me information about html linkage so I can post mp3s on my blog, they responded by saying this via email: "Thank you for contacting Customer Support. To clarify what was written earlier: you can provide HTML MP3's for your blog, just that we cannot assist you in setting it up or troubleshooting it if something goes wrong. I apologize for the confusion." Does this have to be that confusing? Thanks in advance. Todd ![]() |

I'm a little confused myself...
Are you running (or managing) a site that allows other people to post MP3s? Those MP3s will be hosted on YOUR web host and other people will use links to YOUR site? Or is it the other way around? You are linking to MP3s that you have posted on SOMEONE ELSE's site that aren't working... Where does GoDaddy come into play? Are they hosting YOUR site? (and as per questions above, which one's your site?)

I have a site http://thesolelife.com managed by blogger.com However, I have music (mp3's) on my site that people can click on and listen to. I was using another web host to store my mp3, images, etc. and it would give me a html link so when I use html on blogger and whoever clicks on the song it can play for them. So GoDaddy comes into play is my assumption that they are also a web hosting service that I could store mp3's, images, etc. However, when I get a message from Customer Support as stated above, then I'm confused. My assumption is that when I got a web hosting service from GoDaddy, they were able to provide me with an html link for my mp3's, images, etc. If you go to my site, I think you will have a better understanding. http://thesolelife.com or http://solelife.blogspot.com Thanks in advance. |
