IPower blocking emails with doc, pdf, zip, exe
FYI - iPower just started a new email policy this weekend without notifying their 100,000 customers. They are now blocking all emails with a file attachment of .doc, .pdf, .zip, and .exe (even if renamed).
They are also not bouncing back these messages, so their customers will be unaware of the change until they hear otherwise that they've lost a message and have researched (on thier own) to find out why they've gone missing.
Their reasoning is that these files can contain viruses, so they are recommending that people use winRAR instead of winzip (as if winRAR is immune to viruses), for the other file formats they aren't giving options.
If you know anyone on iPower please let them know so they don't have to go through hours of frustration and research to find out what iPower has done behind their backs.
