My exprience with wizwebhost.com

Hello everyone,

I would want to mention here about wizwebhost.com I have been hosting with them
since past 2 years and I would say apart from some minor downtimes their servers were
never down. I did host my sites with many other hosts but then the uptime of
wizwebhost.com is something that has surprised me. The customer support is good and they
do get back promptly. I would definately recommend (URL address blocked: See forum rules)

Bad experience with wizwebhost

In my dealings with them they have been very disorganized even for a very small company.
You will not get all your money back if you request a refund, they will heavily deduct unknown fees.
There are plenty more hosts out there that provide better service for a better price and also will refund ALL your money back if you so wish.
I've been with several web hosters and I would say my interaction with this company has definitely been the most unfavorable.

NEVER, NEVER… WizWebHost!

Hi all,

I thought I might share this with you…

In December 2006 I bought a Windows Professional account with Wizwebhost. Initially, the service was OK, despite some technical problems.

However, as of March this year the service went downhill. We received an email that our website was down and the database was lost. We lost almost three weeks of information! This event gave us a lot of stress and trouble and even worse, it gave a very bad impression of our website.

After this event we requested the wizwebhost admins to help us back up our database, which took SIX weeks to be realized.

Regrettably, the drama continued… In June and July our website was more often down than online. Due to server maintenance (to improve services?) our website was down for a week.

Later, our account was moved to another server. It took almost another week to be online again. Whenever we posted a ticket we received a message that they working on it with the promise that it was going to be solved soon. In the meantime nothing changes.

Due to these problems we lost many visitors and advertising revenues…

Bad service, no or delayed response, a lot of stress, frustration and lack of trust forced us to move our website to another host. We pay three times more for the new host, but our site has been online 100% since!

This is the latest response I got from WizWebHost:

A: Dear Customer,

Thank you for using our services.

Your issue has been forwarded to the concern department, they will get back to you soon.

Should have any further questions please feel free to contact us anytime, we will be glad to assist you.

Regards,

We are now FOUR months later and they’re still coming back to me!

My advice: NEVER, NEVER… WizWebHost!

It’ll save you a lot of stress and headaches!

Thumbs up Thank you for this info

Hi everyone
As a total newbie, trying to find my way through what needs to be done to get a web site up and running is a daunting experience. I thought you simply bought a domain and web hosting and there's your web site. I didn't know about shopping carts, databases, merchant accounts etc. So I am fluffy my way through all the info.
I never even thought that there could be problems with hosting, and at least I now know one to stay a way from, as I don't think I would know how to overcome half of the problems I have just read about.
Thank you for saving me the trouble
Regards
bizzy
