Need a new host.

I own a site geekswithpcs.com . The hosting i currently have is very bad. I mean, lately, after harsh and intense conversations with my host has it been up "somewhat" consistantly. I want a new host. I do not have a job, thus i have little money. I need a reliable host at about $5 a month. 250+ megs of space, 10 gb bandwith, and the usual, php etc. Any ideas?

If you have a "constant" connection to the internet (i.e. DSL or cable) you can do it yourself. Simply setup an account with one of the many Dynamic DNS (e.g. www.dyndns.org) service providers, and install a webserver on your server.

I'm guessing you meant 500MB space and 10GB bandwidth, wastedbreath

Servercove.com has been great for me.

I've been renting a full linux box from them and have had very few problems with it. A couple of times another server in the building was under a DoS attack so my connection was a little slow for gaming but otherwise everything has been going smooth. They always answer your questions and will go into ur server and look at any issues. I would defintaly give them any future business.

need a new host...

i got some info from a site that i stunbled across not to long ago. they are still working on the site, but the info that they sent me about there packages rock. its commonacre.com, send them an email and there will hook you up. they acquired a few small hosting sites i think and are purchasing some new servers as we speak. i think that they are apple guys and told me that they will be hosting on the new Xerve G5s. they are coming up with a mailing list and will begin signing additional customers once everything is in place...

I don't think that you'll get the most reliable and reputed host on that budget considering your requirements.

I would recommend few reliable, reputed and affordable host companies; Hostgator, EUKhost.

Hello,

A friend of mine signed up with comforhost.net a few days ago. I must say, up to now there service is Excellent. At first he
was very cautious and he asked me, I suggested to try them mostly for their server security. he had a few problems, within
moments of submitting a ticket, he got a friendly and fast response. Great job from comforhost.net.

New Hosts !!!!!!

Hi:

Been reading the many posts about Hosting companys and thought it best to post something about a Hosting Company that I use.

{ Name removed on purpose } is one of the most trusted & reputable web hosting providers
on the internet. Our service combines value, speed and reliability with a fanatical customer service that is second to none!

24,000 MB Disk Space - Dell PowerEdge Servers
600 GB Monthly Data Transfer
Free Domain Name Registration & Transfers
Unlimited Matching Email Accounts
Unlimited Domain Names and Websites Per Account
FrontPage Extensions & Dreamweaver Compatible
Free Affiliate Program Software

CGI, PHP, MySQL with Unlimited Databases
Shopping Cart & Merchant Account
E-book and Digital Delivery System

I honestly believe this is the best Hosting company. I have been with them for 5 Months the forums that come with this hosting and the hosting company itself are dedicated to you if you have an account with them.

They know that they can not be in business if people like us do not purchase their services! So you are the key to their continued success. Quick responses in any topic, Extreme Emergencies are handled quicker then any other topic, but to us any problem is extreme.

To find out more about this hosting company, please view the link at http://martech-inc.biz/index.php?pr=Advertising.

Go to the Avertising Link about the Hosting Company and click the banner.

The reason I do not say Hosting Company name:

I get credit if anyone who needs a hosting package clicks on the banner at the link above.

Come and see what a great Hosting Package can do for your business!
