a basic question newbie
hi i wanna install php & ofcourse a server. i have a simple computer with phoneline & modem with windows98. is any hardware required to install server like apache etc or i can install server & php & use php with my single computer with phoneline & modem?

Yes, you can install Apache on your machine.
I trust you are only doing this for development/testing and educational purposes, as connection would be slow [and i assume not static ip], and definately not suitable for a "real" site.
