Apache and IE Not Communicating - I Think I'm Going Crazy!
Hey All,

I've been having the strangest problems lately with Apache and IE... It seems I can no longer access the server using "localhost" or my IP address.

The weird part about it is that I have NO problems when using Mozilla... So I'm convinced it's some sort of problem with Internet Explorer.

I have a NO-IP.Com account, which allows me to access the server remotely. If I use the address given to me by No-Ip (http://nwp.servehttp.com), I have no problems... But I can no longer use "localhost" when using IE.

I'm running IE 6.0.2800... I recently installed the latest service pack for IE, but I can't remember if the problem started BEFORE or AFTER the update pack.

Can anyone lend a hand in saving me from going completely MAD!

Any help would be appreciated.

unintstall it and reinstall it and see if that helps

Apache or Windows?

God knows that if I uninstall Windows, it might not come back... I may just go to RedHat!

i meant un-install apache, i should have been more clear sorry.


i am thinking about switching to redhat too just as soon as i can figure it out

I'll give it a go... Won't be able to do it now... Just don't have the time... I'm using Mozilla as my main browser now, and it has no issues!

As for the RedHat, yeah... I'm definately gonna do it when school is out... I've downloaded RH8.0 and it's ready to go!
