Hello
I have frustrating problem, Apache is being rather strange , Its serves the documents when Im offline, otherwise I get the 404 error page when Im online ??? any ideas of how to remedy this would be most gratefully recieved Many thanks Dave |

Try providing some more details. For example, are you on Windows or Linux? What do you mean by "online" and "offline"? How are you attempting to reach the Web server (localhost, 127.0.0.1, or something else)? Have you checked your error logs to verify that the error is being generated from your apache and not from some other that, because you're online, your system is resolving to but that's not valid?

Solution was that i was norton antivirus and internet security , As soon as I went on the internet my localhost webserver died due to the fire wall being activated. So I changed my configuration to allow my localhost to be allowed by the firewall. cheers D |
