Apache problems

I am sorry if this question seems kinda dumb but i cant find an anwser to it (i maybe havent looked hard enough tho)
but here it goes.

for starters on my server i run both IIS and apache. I have configured that the IIS uses port : 80
and apche will use port: 8080

now here's the problem, i cant get my .php pages to show up on the net. it only asks me if i want to download it.
the asp pages i have on IIS works perfectly and when im checking the status on my apache weeb server it says that
everything is ok. So what can the problem be, or is it a problem or have i missed something in my configration.

And please excuse me for my english if it's not perfect, i am from sweden and my spelling isnt my strong side.
