Red face Configure php with apache2.0 on Win XP

blue
Hi, All,

Installed the Apache Web Server 2.0.36-win32 on
Windows XP couple months ago, it works very well.

But so far no luck on installing PHP.

I have two operating systems on the PC, Windows 2000
on C drive, and Windows XP on D drive.

When I do the testing url/index.php, index.php is:
<?php echo "This is working!"; ?> , the error message
is:

Object not found!
The requested URL was not found on this server. If you
entered the URL manually please check your spelling
and try again.
If you think this is a server error, please contact
the webmaster
Error 404

Seems LoadModule, AddModule don't work. I comment them
out on the httpd.conf file.

Thank you very much!

Really appreciate your big help!

Weijie (James)

Apache 2.0 and PHP

Hi James,

Know your problem, have tried in vain for quite a few times to get PHP running on Apache 2.0 on a Win2000 or a WinXP machine. The online PHP manual (at http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.windows.php ) contains lots of suggestions on what to do or what not to do. I tried them all, but it's still not working. Maybe there's something there which will be useful for you.
