D:ftp/... path is invalid Error???, error apachi won't start

I installed apache on server 2003, the default directory works fine but my web sites are installed on a differen't drive D:ftp/... . I get a path is invalid error in the error log in windows and appachi won't start when I chang the confg file to reflect that dorectory.

I thried a gui config tool and it configured the file and I got the same error os I don't htink it is the config file maybe a permissions issue or something but I changed all the permissions to that of the htdocs dir in the c drive. Any iders???
