Cool http://localhost/ Doesnt work when i installed apache ...... plz. Help

I installed apache and it installed fine and started fine, but when I type in the above two addresses in internet explorer, I get nothing, for http://127.0.0.1, i get a blank page and for http://localhost, i get a page saying it can't be found. I don't get page the apache page saying it was installed and running successfully on your machine. I have tried everything. The thing its it installed fine and its even running. Help please, thanks

try IIS

I dont know, apache is wierd. I would try Microsoft IIS, it works real well for me. Check out my webserver URL

Which Operating System are you using ?

Make sure that there is no firewall blocking the port 80.

Also make sure that apache REALLY starts. Open a DOS command window and goto the apache's installation directory and enter the command manually

And see if any error comes up or not.

Talking Need Help

I'm using Windows XP home edition ...... i cant run IIS on it so i installed Apache ..... Apache starts just fine

but for some reason doesnt work!!!!!!!

Any suggestion??
