IIS or DNS problem?
Hi all, I'm trying to host a site for a customer and the problem is this, if I try to visit (URL address blocked: See forum rules) I get this error..
Under Construction The site you are trying to view does not currently have a default page. It may be in the process of being upgraded and configured. Please try this site again later. If you still experience the problem, try contacting the Web site administrator. If you are the Web site administrator and feel you have received this message in error, please see "Enabling and Disabling Dynamic Content" in IIS Help. To access IIS Help 1. Click Start, and then click Run. 2. In the Open text box, type inetmgr. IIS Manager appears. 3. From the Help menu, click Help Topics. 4. Click Internet Information Services. However the customer does have a start page.. If I enter (URL address blocked: See forum rules) it works fine! This is the .dns file for the domain... ; ; Database file repairmypc.gr.dns for (URL address blocked: See forum rules) zone. ; Zone version: 2004110752 ; @ 60 IN SOA ns1.amaze.gr. admin.amaze.gr. ( 2004110752 ; serial number 900 ; refresh 600 ; retry 86400 ; expire 3600 ) ; default TTL ; ; Zone NS records ; @ NS ns1.amaze.gr. ns1.amaze.gr. A 195.97.30.40 @ NS ns2.amaze.gr. ns2.amaze.gr. A 195.97.30.41 ; ; Zone records ; @ A 195.97.30.40 @ MX 10 mail.repairmypc.gr. ftp A 195.97.30.40 mail A 195.97.30.40 www CNAME (URL address blocked: See forum rules) Now I dont really know what sort of problem this is... Any help? I'm new to web hosting as I just started working at this company, so if you could be a bit easy on the explanation & steps to correct this problem I would be grateful! Thanks!!!! |

I have a similar problem in that i host a web site and can view it internally by setting up a host header of home and can browse the page.
Now if I set up another host header for the website say flipflop.com address i cannot view the page...just times out. My friend at his workplace can browse the web as i have a dns record pointing to my external IP and forwarded to the IIS server hosting the web. The problem is i cannot view the www.**** address inside my domain... Hope that's clear? |
