Really? It's funny that you mention that... A friend of mine said the exact same thing to me... That he's never had problems with netgear.

I'm wondering though, if it could be a problem with my PCMCIA slot?!

Hmm - now that Cisco owns Linksys, maybe the quality will get better.... or the price will go up...

only one way to be able to tell really.. you could run diagnostics on it.. which may or may not tell you anything.. or you could get another card and try it

Usually the cards come with some diagnostic software... and also, what kind of laptop do you have? If you have a dell, they have diag software you can download right off of their site to test the PCMCIA slot and possibly a card too.. but whoever made your laptop should have software for the slot diagnostics.. let me know what you find out, and also let me know what kind of laptop you have and I'll see what I can dig up for you!

Well, I don't have a Dell... I have an Angel Computer... which is basically an re-branded clone machine...

I decided I didn't want a name-brand machine... I guess I should contact the sales rep I bought it from.

I wonder if the Dell diag software would work on this system? Shouldn't diag software work across all PCMCIA slots?

If you come across anything, please let me know... I'm still having these intermitant problems...

The dell diag software should work on your system <sorry, I thought I replied to this thread already > you can try it, it can be downloaded off of dell's website support.dell.com

are you still having this problem, BTW?
