Hi,
I am using IIS on my Win/XP. I heard that for XP Professional, the IIS only allows 10 concurrent sessions. Is this true? That means only 10 people can access my web site at a time? Another problem I have is after I start up IIS and do some work which requires me to open a lot of windows, IIS will stop by itself! Once this happens, I can start up the IIS again from inetmgr. But it will stop by itself after a short period of time. This is un-acceptable because I do not want IIS to stop by itself. If I reboot XP, the iis would start and remain running OK for a a long long time until I do work and open lots of windows again, this problem will occur. Has anyone had the same problem? If so, what's causing it? and is there a fix for it? Thanks! |

re: the number of connections - yes - it is limited because you are using workstation software. Obviosuly it is not designed to be used as a production server. Get NT, 2K or 2K3 server for that. There is a reg hack to up the number of connections to a few more i think - google.
re: IIS service shutting down - you got me.. have you googled? |
