I recently installed apache and I have it running fine my question is how do I make so that I can ftp my website to it instead of adding it locally, basically I want to make so its like when I access a paid web host.

This isn't an apache issue. It's an FTP issue. You need to make sure you've got an FTP server running and a user who can login to the FTP server. Then you just make sure that user has permission to upload into the document root of your Web server.
