Angry PHP not working with Apache
PHP 4.3.4.4

Latest Apache Software

Windows XP



The problem is when I view a .php file in IE it makes me download the file. When I try to view the same file in Mozila it will display the file BUT ONLY IN CODE. I've have tried all different ways of trying to get it to work by using tips and help guides on this website but still nothing is working. Any help would be useful.

i was having the same problem...my issue was that i didnt have the load moduel set right...once i figured that out php worked...maybe that will help...here is the site i used to set it up http://www.ricocheting.com/server/

You likely missed this line in your httpd.conf: AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

I had a look at your suggested web site JHorten but it is using the latest versions of both apache and php so it is different to the versions I am using

Question
I too have the problem of apache telling me to download the php file, I did as you said MadCowDzz and it has made no difference have you got any other suggestions

When I open a php doc I also just get code has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I misspelled it. Cost me 2 hours. Triple-check your spelling if when navigating to a php document your browser prompts you do download the file.
